What do you guys normally use? I used to use CD-2 Engine Cleaner Detailing Kit, but they discontinued the "kit" and only sell the detailer. It was a 2 part jobby with the cleaner, then the detailer. I was VERY fond of it, just curious what you guys use.

:dito:

I just recently started using the Turtle Wax Ice on all of my hoses and plastic under the hood too! It really looks good, and goes on easily!

And Zaino on the outside!
Hmmm... they should make something for the inside too!

i use a cleaner like 409,then when engine is dry i go back over it with turtle wax ice or an engine shine from a detail supply store.

Damn, am I the only one that doesnt detail my engine?:dontknow:
I was gonna say that I use air to clean off the motor, it comes from an opening in the hood.:p

I remember when I looked under NBT's hood. Holy smokes its f'n clean. Everything is shiney. Since then I have realized that maybe I should be doing some more cleaning.:adore:

Some people enjoy driving their trucks. Some also enjoy tinkering with them. It gives me a reason to be outside (when it's nice) and have a beer or 38 while I'm cleaning it up.

If you don't enjoy doing this, don't. It will become a chore and you will enjoy your truck less.

Hey i was just looking for that stuff (CD-2) a few days ago. It really works great..I couldnt find it anywhere here either so i settled with the eagle-1 engine detailer. I'll be using it this weekend.

Simple Green : Water, 10:1. It's part of the car, it's part of the car-wash.:D

I agree, SImple green is the sh*t!!! It cleans everything off and makes it look brand new with out giving that pimp juice wet look..

All the above...
When I had the OEM air box on it... Simple Green, then mist it down with the hose...dry it out.
When I switched to the K&N CAI, and located the VEC in the engine bay, I switched to Meguiars quick detail spray.
Same now with the SC on it.
Mine is not a daily driver...so it's pretty easy to keep clean.
