ok guys I am still stuck offsore but my wife is driving my truck today "she wanted to step up from the vette today" ...so she says all my gauges are fine and it is running good now but earlier she was sitting at a light and the truck just died twice....she has put about 50 miles on it since with stopping at alot of lights and it has not died again.................now when i was home last the truck was surging a little at about 15 mph, I was thinking that was my tbs sensor and was goig to replace it when i got home......she says the truck has not been surging at all but just died and now is running real good.. I even had her sit at a idle for 10 min while i was on the phone and the truck idle was fine...
What do yall think? Driver era or something else

every time i let this left pedal out it dies.... wierd huh?

Maybe she forgot to step on clutch when stop at light? :dontknow: just kidding, but I dont know what is the wrong with it. CEL come on?

check engine light never came on and she says she did not stall it and i believe her on that because she does know how to drive it

Hmmm....engine died twice...but CEL never came on...that is weird. Maybe low fuel pressure? I am sorry but I dont know what is the wrong with it.

Could be just bad gas. You could try some "Heet" or filling up at a different location. I have had that happen before. In fact a buddy of mine had his car quit just after he filled up. When we got the car to his house, I checked for fuel pressure and what came out of the test port seemed to smell a little weak to be pure gas. I disconnected the fuel line and put it in a small bucket, then jumpered the fuel pump relay to stay on. I pumped out a couple cups of "gas", which turned out to be water. I ended up draining his tank with almost 8 gallons of water in it.

Check the easiest that cheapest first...

Have her check to be sure the throttle cables are routed over the pully, some have complained about surging and lack of power and found that the cable has come off the pully...that would also possibly cause stalling because there is not sufficient tension on the throttle cable (wire)...someone here has pics of the condition...

the tank of gas that is in there I drove half out before I left...

the truck has been sitting for 3 weeks but was at operating temp when it died.

Maybe I am just worrying because I aint there ,,,,she has called me since and said everything is still good as far as temp , oil pressure and volts.....and has not died since them 2 times hours ago

my truck sometimes feels like it loads up at a stop light especially when its hot outside.....its never died but i saw the rpms dip way low like it was gonna stall and I'd just give it a couple revs and it woke back up.

Mine has done the same thing with no CEL. It starts back up with no problems.

If its been sitting there for three weeks with a half a tank, it may just have a little condensation in it. It's probably gone through the system by now and will most likely be fine. Have her fill it up the rest of the way with premium. (I'm sure the premium comment was not needed! :D ).

Probably would be for her...you know she is pinching pennies so she can surprise you with that supercharger as a birthday present!

Hell get two! I like your woman already...but then I like all women. But rare is the woman who understands what boost is all about.

In my area, the gas have increased to $2.67 but my truck still is running fine.

Well said Prof!
I've been trying to get my wife into this stuff for almost 17 years now. :( To top it off, I get to read about other members wives wanting superchargers and Stink's wife BUYING HIM A PLASMA CUTTER!!  How does this happen? :dontknow:
Seriously, how do you get this to happen? ;) :D :D

I'm very happy to have my spouse fund my hobbies...I thought that was the best that could happen...but Stinker has gone one better, not only does she pay she also rides and builds! Now he has to be one really lucky man.
