A friend of mine moved to Switzerland to attend a private school that was able to teach and also test these types of 5-axis machines before there were available to the public. I went and visited him a few years ago and was able to see some of their projects, nothing like this though. Could you imagine being the person who programmed that process. Check out 6:40, it shows what the unit is capable of.

It would be interesting to know how many bits (tools) it took to complete that process.... but WOW!

alumininum is a soft metal, so a titanium bit goes a VERY long way....i want one.....

my pants just got tighter:rock:

That block will be able to handle alot of Ponies. No heat stress whatsoever. Nice:rock:

Here is a place in TX that does them cnblocks. I talked to them about doing a V-10 they were interested but never would give me any numbers on how much or how many I had to get built. Then the economy tanked as well.........

It would be alot of money no joke, Some of them tips run few grand by them selfs, I have seen alot of cnc and other work like that done, It is very cool to watch in person. Just watching the machine swap bits is cool enough for me. If anyone is ever in maryland and wanna see it let me know.
