I'm finally swapping the engine in my 10 for the forged one from the old truck. It seems like it should be a pretty straight forward process, but I was wondering what problems any of you guys that have done this had. Any tips, tricks, or special tools recommended would be appreciated. Also, is there a good repair manual I should pick before digging in? Thanks.

remove the intake, watch the oil pan, slide the ac over to the side, cuss cuss cuss cuss, bandaids for busted knuckles, one case of beer and two large pizzas, other than that pretty straight forward.

One case of beer?:dontknow:

air compressor and air tools would help if you dont have them

Have all the correct gaskets and fluids on hand.

I pulled the radiator both times and removed the cross bar on one side.

Good time to re-coat headers, port the heads, add new springs/rods/keepers/retainers.

Add new plug wires if damaged while intake is off.

Good engine stand since Viper engine is long.

Extra stands/jacks to hold up transmission.

Add Stinker's oil lines and brake lines.

Clean up engine bay first while you have room.

Shops Ho's for break action.
