Aloha...

Just bought an 05 viper car engine with 6100 miles from xvipers..
I'm just going to swap it out with mine then sell my still running-knocking engine. I'll know what damage it has when we change the oil pans..

If im not mistaken our Ram engines have a bigger clutch for the weight. I would think throwing a car Viper motor in will fry the weaker car clutch you will be using.

Some with more knowledge will be posting shortly. The viper guys you bought it from shoulda told you.

If you have a q/c,It will not bolt up correctly,If you have an 06,You will have to change the engine mounts,oil pan,dip stick assy..You will probably have to change the frt cover,t-stat housing as well as all the sensors.I believe that crankshaft tonewheel should work.

I have a brand new flywheel and clutch from Roe on my truck and already planned to swap it out, and both engines are 05. My truck is a single cab.

Micheal from xvipers.com seems to be very knowledgeable and told me the few issues which seem to be minor...I am trusting his expertise. He may even plan a trip to Hawaii and install it with me.......

I'll keep you posted.....any other input is invited...
 
Heck for a trip to Hawaii, I will help, should take me about 2-3 months to get it swapped out .... :)
 
shit count me in when is the best time to visit? The closest I came to the beautiful Islands was about 50 miles off coast and then back up to cali for a month of playing in the dirt. The manual I sent is for an 04 but everything your going to be doing is the same except there is a knock sensor. but the specs are the same. have any? let me know.:D :rock:

I may have to come visit you and Patrick one of these days, I live on Oahu. I bounce all the time at your airport but I wanna visit Maui before we transfer...I gotta bout a year and half left to visit.:)

does the 69 gt come with the room? would love to cruise that thing down to dinner with the girl:rock: really thoough I think I will be contacting you to set something up. Actually you know what If ya need a hand getting the motor installed let me know. I work as a Bmw tech and have already dropped a few of these v10's in. Actually what airline would give me the best rate for plane ticket?
