engine tuning

what is the most effective way to tune the computer. i cuurently have an x-metal stage 2. what about the vec? i also have a 170 degree stat, but for the most part temp stays around the factories 190.

Before I got my DC Perf pcm and t stat my truck would run at 210 all the time. Now its around 180.

The vec offers lots of possibilities but you need to know what your doing or have a tuner familiar with the vec. Go over to Roeracing.com and check it out.

DC Perf also has a new product coming out real soon listed in another thread..... a programable tuner.

Yeah, its a hand held tuner. There is a thread about it. Tells what it will do. Looks like it will be very cool. Since I already have a DC perf stage two I probably wont need one but its a nice option for others.
