I am so sick of this double standard bs. The Wayan's Bros can make a movie that was f-ing hilarious and it is okay. Now because Stiller makes a movie with a white guy in blackface its offensive?

I read the article, and I did not come away with the same interpretation.

In this case, I am left with the impression that the portrayal was received as intended.

I must refrain from commenting my true thoughts here since this wasn't initially placed in "offensive." But it is BS for lack of stronger terms. I was watching some sketches from the Dave Chappelle show last night and in his shows he frequently portrays whites either physically with make up or verbally by altering his voice to mimic how he perceives a Caucasian would sound. I have never heard of anyone complaining about his comedy until he begins depicting blacks. THIS when his sketches are considered “racially charged.â€￾ WTF is going on here? Did I miss something?

I agree with your observation that there was no complaining in the cases you mention of black actors making jokes of ethnicity. But in the article cited, I fail to find the complaint in this case.

The sheer fact that there is even an article that brings it to attention is enough of a complaint IMO. Why even bring attention to it? It is all is a comedic role and the article takes a position of almost a serious nature.

Why say anything if its okay? :dontknow: There are racial undertones here and because of this role that Downey has taken makes it seem like his career is walking on the edge of a knife. He has been involved in far worse a place. Leave the guy alone already... He's IRONMAN!!!!!
