Eric Medlen Critically Injured

Funny Car driver Eric Medlen, injured in a testing accident Monday at Gainesville Raceway, remained in critical condition Tuesday in intensive care at Shands at the University of Florida medical center. According to Medlen’s father, John, doctors are continuing to work to reduce pressure and swelling from what has been characterized as a severe closed head injury.

On the ESPN site they said he blew a tire and went head on into the guardrail.

John Force's luck has not been to good this year.

Just goes to show even in the best prepared vehicles, shit can happen. We have been lucky in this family, but at some point our luck may run short...be prepared brothers...be careful and take care.

Yea you know John Force will be all over Ashley now about safety. They are a team to be reckoned with. Our prayers go out to the Medlen family,especially his father John who tunes the car and must have seen it all happen.
