Evap code

Not sure if this is a concern or not but looking for info.

Will the code P1494 have any effect to a tune?

I have removed the system but left the sensor plugged in and secure.

I have been data logging and need to know true reading.

Has anyone been able to turn off the Evap system?

Any input would be great, thank you

When my code comes up for the system being removed I clear it, and when it comes again, I clear it again. I would just blow the code out and keep on doing what you're doing. I am not aware of the ability to shut those codes off but a tuner would be a better audience for that question.

yes the evap system can be turned off, marine app, etc.

get a holt of Torrie, or i guess any good Dodge tuner, & he can get ya the file:rock:

They (tuner) tried to turn off, my last logging still came up with the code.
Yes, I too clear it when it does come up. Just want to know if it hurts to tune with code.
Mr. Torrie and Mr. Roe were both involved in my tunning. They tried to turn off didnt work.
I guess I will hook it back up and see if there is a diff in logging.
