Just found out they have a 54/90 degree firing interval, so they are in fact odd.

A vehicle that uses one coil per two cylinders is a waste spark system, so I dont think we have a waste spark system. But I could be wrong.

Not one coil for two cylinders. Each coil fires the plug assigned, but two combustion events happen at the same time. You dont get the pitter patter of a v-8, left bank right bank. It fires 2 at the same so its essentially a dual in line 5. The firing sequence is odd

Im not following you, how do we have "two combustion events" at the same time?

We fire one cylinder, then the next 54 degrees later, then 90 degrees, then 54 again, etc.

I did read that the Viper is a 5 channel waste spark engine.
