The thing is huge. The 30 round drum for the .410 isn't bad though. A short barrel, converted Saiga .410 with the 30 rd drum would be a pretty sick home defense piece:rock:

My daughter is 2, we would mount all weapons over 5 foot high.

My house layout is like a horseshoe with the kitchen on one tip and the living room in the other with the front door and stairs in the middle of the bend. To go upstairs you have to go by a bunch of windows and the front door. This requires a weapon in 3 locations to allow access to the weapon without having to go toward an attacker.

What are you going to do when someone enters your house while your upstairs and your weapon is downstairs?
What are you going to do when someone enters your house while your your downstairs and your weapon is upstairs?
If you decide to arm yourself... it would do you no good, if you cannot get to it.

Weapon #
1.) can be safely hidden and readily accessible where you spend much of your time. In the family room. Has a decent spread, and is easy to shoot
2.) will have a 3 ft spread at 20 foot covering the entire width shooting down the stairs.
3.) is for daddy because im badass
4.) Makes me more badass
5.) incase your in the kitchen, it shares ammo with #1 and can be concealed in a purse.

With your house layout it makes more sense, with my house layout I can see both front and rear doors from the living room and the bedrooms are on the other end of the house. My 9mm usually stays in my pocket till I get ready for bed, then the shotty is in the bedroom
