Exhaust/B&B or Magnaflow

Hey Fellas,

I'm looking for an exhaust for my truck (04 RC). I've pretty much narrowed it down to Magnaflow or Billy Boat. I would obviously LOVE to have the Billy Boat but unfortunately I was unable to purchase turbon_neon's when it was up for sale. I would really like to find another one like his for around the same price.

I really can't afford to go new with the Billy Boat but I'm considering going with the Magnaflow if I can find one at a great price. I know jtsvp.com has a really good deal on a new system but I'm exploring my options to see if someone has one lightly used for a better price.

This will be the catback system for now

Billy Boat is preferred but I'm considering the Magnaflow.:aetsch:

B&B no question about it. Keep an eye out. I paid less than a Magnaflow for mine including the high flow cats.

Nope They pop up from time to time. Keep an eye out. I also would consider some other ones before the magnablow.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? B&B dude, without a doubt. :dontknow: Unless rust and broken muffler internals in the future are your thing.

I would ask yourself one question,do you want to buy just one?? Then pay a little more and get the killer Billy Boat for sure,money well spent!! I've never heard one complain of a B&B failure!!

I should have taken pics of my Magnablow and the B&B side to side. The B&B is a FAR superior product. I would almost think that Magnablow is the bottom of the list. :dontknow:

I have not seen a B&B for the truck but I did see one go on a local SRT8...very bad workmanship....The Magna on my truck looked very well made...so did the ones I installed on my former Charger RT and SRT8...my brother has a Magna on his 06 Charger RT...100K miles and no problems...

ok, not saying it was horrible I guess. The bends were fine, looks like it fit fine. BUT the pipe was thinner. Not as thick of a gauge. The muffler on the other had, some (including myself) ended up with rattles inside the muffler. Mine actually kept blowing holes in the side of the muffler. The pipes looked rusty after a short time.

I bet I could climb under the truck and it looks the same as it did the day I put it on. I bought it used, and it has been on the truck for a year and a half.

My pipes looked almost new after 25K miles but I will say my truck has only been driven in the rain maybe 100 miles in 2.5 years........of course now I have customized the whole exhaust with duels on both sides of the rear...but still have the Magnaflow muffler..

How old is your Magnaflow? I think I remember something about the old ones had issues. Not sure thought, might have been the new ones..... I don't remember. There was a post somewhere like a year ago. :dontknow:

Mine is over 2.5 yrs...seems the newer ones have had issues.....

i bought mine with the maggies with 15k miles...and i didn't have any issues with it until i cut off the resonators...mine's all rattling, and i think the guts are blown out...but i think, honestly, i'd buy one again....i really like the sound of the maggies...
