Just finished buttoning up the JMB mids and magnaflow on my QC. Got a leak at one joint where the driver's side pipe with extension meets the magnaflow entrance pipe. Band clamp supplied can't get the leak sealed because of the up turn in the magnaflow inlet pipe right after the slip joint. Don't want to weld it since I'll need to be able to remove it easily. Would a U bolt do a better job?:dontknow:

i used a 3 inch wrap clamp
That's what I've got and it won't seal it. Thinking a U bolt might put more pressure right at the end of the slip fitting?

Is the wrap clamp tightened as tight as possible, you can get pretty aggressive with them. I prefer not to use u-bolts because it makes disassembly much more difficult, but they definitely seal.

It's as tight as it can get. I've tried shifting it forward and backward but just can't get it to seal. It's because of the proximity of the bend to the slip joint. I'll try the u-bolt on that join since I can take that section off with the muffler attached later. Thanks Justin.

BTW, thanks for the custom job on the passenger pipe and kick down extension. Just did a little trimming on one extension and the opposing muffler inlet pipe and the cat back slide into the hangers without a problem. With the new passenger pipe and kick down extension everything tucked up nicely and cleared all crossmembers. Your customer service can't be beat. I'll ship the old pipe and kickdown to you by Wed.

Thanks for your patience and working with me, let me know the shipping cost and I'll gladly refund you. Thanks Todd!
