Since the trucks in the shop and well its just about summer im looking at exhaust. What i want is LOUD and RUMBLE and a really nice idle. When i say loud and rumble id like to sound deep like my old truck, where people look over at me on idle and give me dirty looks and when i take off they sh*t themselves. I guess im trying to achieve the impossible by getting as close to a V8 block sound as i can. Just dont want a ricey sound at all, thats awful. I looked through the threads and didnt see much on someone wanting deep and loud so im asking for your opinions. I was just going to go with the mopar/borla set up but dont want to go through exhaust 3 times again like my last truck. No CATS either and Long tube of course but guys remember i have to eat so easy on the 5000 dollar exhaust swaps lol. Ideas? anyone?

V10 Viper will never sound like a V8 (yes, had to repeat this). IMHO....of the exhausts I've heard the Mopar setup is the least sounding V8 emulation. B&B goes in the that direction....but, its no V8.

Just so im not reminded again and again, I know it wont sound like my old V8 but close is good if possible but good sound is ok to, but then its gotta be loud and make people look angry at me lol.

:D :evil::motz: :driver: :evil:

Magnaflow and cat-less mids as close as your gonna get. Borla sounds exotic nothing like a V8.

i have heard both the mopar (on my truck) and the magnaflow. it sounds like you want the magnaflow on your truck.

You can go catless with some 40series flomasters.. That would give you a nice deep and pretty loud exhaust tone.:rock: I am running bassani headers and I am going with a custom equal length ehaust with (2) 50series deltaflow flowmasters turned down out of the muffler.. It should sound really nice with the cam and headwork:D I can send you some sound clips when its done;)

to me it sounds better than a V-8..its EXOTIC! i have magna-flows and high flow cats, believe me when you lay on the gas with this combo,people notice! and...i set off an occasional car alarm just idling by!:rock: p.s. at the very least get rid of the stock cats,they are very restrictive.

Seems most everyone likes what they have. I like my Bellanger long-tubes, Bellanger High-Flow mids/cats, and Magnaflow. Gets attention at idle, is loud as hell on acceleration, sounds like a helicopter landing when coming to a stop, but doesn't have much in-cab drone until cruising above 75mph. A stock versus performance PCM will change your exhaust sound a little. Mine's crisper with the DC Performance tune than stock. I installed my exhaust myself in my garage over a weekend with no problems. Total purchase cost was less than $3,000. Decide what you know you want and make the full purchase up front. That saves money as does getting exactly what you want the first time versus going in low budget then upgrading later. To me our V10s sound better than the old school V8s. Eventuallt I'll get a loping cam and really love the sound.

Best to you.

You think it is loud with the high flows, same setup minus the high flows here :rock:

One thing to note, if you go catless, this thing stinks! If you run it in the garage, even with the door open it can make my eyes water if I walked behind it.

I have a mbrp 2 1/2 inch catback feed by JMB 3 inch catless midpipes. I added 2 resonators to the catback system. The mbrp mufflers are basically resonators, so I run 2 resonators inline. I tried the exhaust with only the 2 mbrp mufflers and I was how do I say F!@#$%g loud. When I say loud I mean nascar. I loved the sound but those pesky law enforcement officers had another idea. So I had Justin put in 2 magnaflow resonators and it sounds deep at idle, a little roar up to 2k and nascar at 3k:rock: :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock: It looks as good as it sounds with the polished stainless pipes.
