As most of you know I've been looking for a muffler for my truck to quiet it down a bit. As of now I have 3" pipe from manifolds back, x-pipe no cats no muffler. I was wondering if I were to get a couple high flow cats welded in would it quiet it down quite a bit and rid some of the rasp?

of course could't hurt to try... RESTRICTION = QUIET
maybe no cats plus stock muffler would work just nice

I am trying to find a stock muffler, I was just wondering if cats would make a big difference

From what I have heard It makes a HUGE difference try 1 set of cats plus muffler (doesnt matter what brand) im sure it be will night and day. Try just the cats first then if its still too loud and the muffler

I ran mine no cats and stock muffler for 3 years, not loud at all but there is a noticeable difference. Performance wise I could tell no difference between the stock muffler and the loud ass Powersticks.
