exhaust question

i am going to ditch stock muffler for twin open chamber mufflers.what i want to know is can i also remove stock cats and replace with pipe only and not have issue with check engine light? i have been told you can buy emulator plug in for o2 sensor to trick computer into thinking cats still in place.have any u guys had any experience with this. i have a limited exhaust budget! big much thanx in advance for any help on this!!!:rock:

Yes you can cut the cats off and use O2 sims to fool the computer.

Cheaper way to not get a CEL os to by spark plug non foulers any auto parts has them they basically keep the 02 sensor away from the stream

the cheapest & best way is just to hang the 2 rear O2 sensors in the air.

thats what i do when i run my catless mid pipes. no CEL:rock::rock::rock:

Freeing up exhaust will release about 15-20 HP and shift power/torque curve a little further up in RPMs

On my way home from the Mopar Nationals today my check engine light came on. I came home and ran it through the computer. Says that my passenger side O2 sensor is smoked.. I already have a SCT Tuner so I think it is too late to program those sensors out. What can I do thats fairly easy so that I can cancel out these sensors and then proceed to cut out the front cats as well? :dontknow:
