i am relatively new to the site , had my truck since last September and am looking for advice. I am curious about the debate on single muffler with 2 inlets and 2 outlets as opposed to twin mufflers and an x pipe.....Anyone have any useful knowledge on this subject ?
I am looking for horsepower comparison between the two setups, which would sound better ? Who's done it.....Anyone ?

several people have done both, try the search function and you will find the answers to every question you ever had about exhaust on these trucks.

there is no difference in hp, no difference in hp with an x pipe , h pipe or otherwise

get the sound you prefer and go with it, there isn't honestly 3 hp different in any of the exhaust except for open exhaust where you will loose trq

In my opinion I think the 2 are better than one. But you would be talking minimal hp + or - verses each other any ways. Mostly sound would change more than anything. It's never going to be optimal exhaust because driver side is always going to travel longer than passenger unless you did a custom set up like I did to make everything equal length like all performance cars.

Posted this on another thread a few days ago no I didn't copy Tony haha

The new Magnaflow system has a built in X in the muffler, awesome sound vs the old one, really deep and no rasp.........

Just did long tubes and magnaflow catback. Definitely the way it should have sounded from the factory. Deep rumble still with the V-10 signature sound! [emoji106]
