Check out these pics...a big oops...

Tacoed my front passenger rim
Blew that tire
Busted/Jacked up the Rack and Pinion beyond repair.
Bent up the mountain plate for the rack and pinion.

At least its the last trip of the season...

After removing the shock "in the field", and ratchet strapping the front right, and left rear to level the car out... I was able to "3 wheel" the car out the dunes.. with very little steering.. took some fancy usage of my turning breaks... and accellerator steering..

Will cost me about 600-700 to repair...

Yep.. its Glamis. There is a private campground that is rented annually available now... $400/yr. Right behind the Glamis Beach Store, secured, no camp racers, etc..

cool, I know that area well. Old desert rat you know. That was a pretty dusty area back in the day. Sand hwy and all. You'll have it ready for next season in no time.

It can get dusty... but they have been wetting it down... its the old sand drags area... where they would bring the blown alchohol funny cars and run them... it never went over that well..

Its worth it.. not getting stuck, and having a gaurenteed spot to camp in...

I hear you, I used to have a hell of a time finding a spot in the middle of the nite.
