Only for those of you who like flying machines...and who doesn't?

I have lust in my heart...I have seen the perfect machine it is a concept aircraft from Eclipse Aviation...one pilot plus three passengers...will someone please lend me $100,000 for earnest money to hold a reservation...this is pure sex for those who love to fly...

The Eclipse 400 concept:

First low wing Cessna single I've seen, that I can remember anyway. Somebodies in Oshkosh I would guess.

That is what my wife said!

She added the word heresy somewhere in the sentence...

We had to check twice to be sure it was a Cessna.

And yes, we are two hours from Oskosh...it has the greatest air show gathering of general aviation people in the world.

I would give my right nut with a rusty razor blade to have one of the Eclipse 400 jets...but at $1.3 (pre-production) I would have to sell my truck for sure!

Light sport is the rage...there are some really nice aircraft for the light sport crowd, like the Xtra...with fixed gear and relatively low horsepower it is not a complex aircraft which is one of the attractions of light sport...

that eclipse is sharp. what kind of speed is it rated at??
$1.3 pre-production. that mean it could cost more????

I soooo want to get my Pilot's license(sp?) so I can fly one of them bad boys!!!! Wish I had the money to buy one though....oh well, atleast I can say I flew in one of the baddest, (and fastest I should add) propeller driven aircraft al the 20th century....:D:D:D

And I dont even have a pilots licence...:)

(Thats her behind my crew in the Avatar.)

Get back in one piece, get back in school, and focus...you will have a private license if you want it.

You already know the thrill...and just to remind everyone what the military side is all about:

Pretty awesome video Roy. I dont think you will ever see another S-3 do that again though...:(

Must have been in the Persian Gulf...water was super flat like black Glad bags stretched tight.(Thats how we used to describe it, along with the neon colored sea snakes.:))

Side note: Boy Im glad my plane is too large for that stuff! Last night we landed with less than 1200 meters of visibility and that was white knuckles all the way in! The PPC (Peeps) was tense and it made me tense because this guy is one bad ass pilot!......We landed it.:D

Great vid Prof, I didn't know you had a pilot's license.:dontknow:

Joe I flew years ago...don't have a license anymore.

But the wife flies and I fly with her and our partner...still can handle the plane but would rather let the youngsters do the real stuff. When I flew, you could get off the runway and turn the radio off and enjoy...these days with all the no-fly zones, prohibited areas etc. is just no fun any more.
