Lets hear some honest opinions. A while back I saw a Boze Six speed wheel and it gave me an idea. The wheel has Street scene grille inserts in it.I had a Street scene grille laying around and decided to see what it would look like on my new American racing wheels.Let me know if i should do the rest of the wheels like the one in the pic or take em off and forget the idea.

I think it would look better if the wheel was polished or chrome, not too good looking on black. Perhaps you would like to paint the insert black :dontknow:

Anyways still dig the rims either way

Can't see them on the Truck, but from the pic. it's looks like they would work with a silver Truck.
Looks like they took longer than an hour..lol (labor intensive)

Quick

Reading what you wanted to do I thought it would look like, well....umm..crap. But the pic actually looks good.

looks good i likie, but i would recommend matching the the truck grill just to be uniformed just my opinion.

I want to thank everyone for their input.I had made some wheel inserts from the same grille material as the custom grilles I made for the air dam , hood, and regular grille area, but my wife said the street scene grille looked better.I should do a wheel with that grille material and see what it looks like.
The reason for my interest in changing the wheel design is I spent 6 months trying to find a Black styled wheel that had chrome or polished aluminum in the center of the respective spokes.Every time I found a rim I liked, it either was not made in a 22 inch or it didnt come in a 5 on 5.5 lug pattern.Oh yeah, or it was too expensive. So when I saw the American racing wheel at Pep Boys, I liked it and saw the mod potential in it.All I did was use tin snips to cut the aluminum, and attached the inserts to the back side w/ 3M doible stick tape. The same type that is used on emblems.Very sticky shit.I will take a pic tommorrow with the whole truck in the picture. Thanks again for the input guys! They look okay, but I wouldn't want to try keeping them clean.

That was going to be my comment! They look really good, but will be a bear to keep clean! Also, I know the 3M tape is sticky, but I would worry about them flying off of there given the rotations that those rims are going to be doing. My $.02

Well gentlemen, I went ahead a did all 4 wheels .What a lot of work. When I pull it out of the garage tommorrow I will take pics.I think It will look better once I get to see them in the daylight and after i give the truck a good cleaning. Thanks again for the comments.

I like stock :D , but hey I like pics too :star:

Don't you think your Raider fetish is a little over the top  Now you and Shawn can be in the All American Ricer truck club :D :p

They look ok Bro, Black wheels are just not my thing personally. But as long as you like them it's all good :burnout: :D
