factory sub problems

has anyone had any problems with there subs in there truck.
mine pops when is shuts off, and it will work one day and not the next.
just woundering if its the amp making to much power and spiking the sub.

Sounds like an amp ground problem to me...... But, if it's out of warranty, it not going to be cheap for a new amp....
