Failed Magnaflow Muffler.

I was fortunate to have a local shop that got the replacement sent BEFORE we had to ship the defective one back.:D

---Update---

I spoke with Magnaflow again today... and they are going to do the right thing... they are shipping me a new system.

I had to pay for it upfront...but they are also sending a call tag with the new system so that I dont have to pay to get the old one back to them.

I am to pull off as much of the old system as possible... and send it back to them.

Once they get it back, they will credit my credit card back for the upfront costs.

They have no idea why it failed.....

Gratz to you and thumbs up to magnaflow for doing the right thing. Good luck with the removal...

So I talked to me exhaust guy today (the one who built my custom headers for my sandcar), and explained to him what it had done... and he said most likely my short commute to work (4.25 miles), is what killed it... the condensation from the exhaust created acid water, and then in turned killed the muffler...

That would make since... so he said to fix it, we are going to weld back in the replacement system, and then drill a couple of small holes on the bottom back end of the muffler so that water can drain out...

Basically my exhaust never got hot enough to vaporize the water completley.. so it just continue to eat from the inside out...
