Somewhere on the way home last night, truck started turning 1200 rpm at idle. I got home and popped the hood before turning it off and noted that the cruise and throttle cables were a little slack as expected. TB was at the stop limit. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Revved it a few times from the TB and a few times from the pedal. Still went to 1200. Shut it down and restarted a few minutes later. Purring at 750 again. The TPS is less than 9 months old. Am I on the verge of something going out?
The thing that concerned me at first was that I hit the rev limiter in 3rd this weekend making a pass on a two lane road. I was concerned that something may have not liked turning at 6000 rpm after almost 9 years since birth.
