Anyone use the new chromoly flywheel that DC Perf. lists on there website yet, how is it?

Any noticable or known advantages/disadvantages to one or the other?

Has Anyone used both w/same type clutch that can directly compare them to each other?
or
To anyone that has already put in a fidanza before this chromoly one was avail., which would you have chosen if both were avail. at the time?
I know the fidanza has been great improvement, just like to know if the chromoly is as good or better/worse, etc. Thanks

Dont know about the DC one, but if your skeptical just keep the stocker flywheel and upgrade the clutch and hydrolics.

Not skeptical, have had exper. w/ltr. wght. alum. on other vehicles and makes a huge diff. and I will definately upgrade to one of them over stock, just like to know if much diff. between those two.

Thanks, I seen that before and it sounds great, but there is no comparisons to fidanza, just mentions lt. wt. alum. not holding up. Seems many have the fidanza and I havn't heard of anyone having problems with them, just improvement. Looking for others experience w/the chromoly, although I suppose there arn't many that have any miles on them yet?

 So far she's good....only have about 500/miles on her (chrome-molly flywheel) haven't slamed a shift yet :dontknow: haven't had to.

I have seen a few post about poeple with fidanzas cooking them, the clutch lasted longer than the flywheel...

aluminum flywheels make it much more difficult to get up and go from a dead stop. they are better only if you do a lot of road racing. if you drag race then steer clear of any lightened flywheel as it will not have the inertia to get you off the line and they tend to fry due to people having to feather the clutch at high revs to get going.

I am sure Fidanza's have worked great in other applications.....They are not working out so well in 5200 lb trucks...

I'd stick with the stocker unless you're road racing. :burnout:

I just had a note from Dan at DC Performance...their Flywheel is for 05 and 06 trucks only....

If your concept is correct how about a heavier one...and where would someone go to find one?

What would the difference be so it couldn't work in an 04?

Your dealership, JMB Justin, Mopar Connection, any vendor who sells OEM parts. Should run you less than $150.;)

I had the Fidenza in for about 6 months and went back to the stocker. Its just too light IMO. DC's may be the best of both worlds so cant comment.

I mean heavier than stock...like Includemeout has talked about...huge rotating mass...just wondering...

You may have misunderstood Dan, there's one in my '04 as we speak....with a stock clutch :elefant:

Here are his words: "Our flywheel fits the non-flywheel trigger trucks only/ 05-06.

We made a few trigger types but no longer carry them."

Actually let me make this clear as mud.....on the '04's there is a "trigger" on the flywheel itself, makes it more $$$ to produce. So Dan only had so many '04's made...not many.
The trigger in '05 was moved to the camshaft in stead of the flywheel...less money :bebored:
