Stock rods. I'm looking for a nice streetable 600 RWHP. I wished I had gone with forged rods, but at the time I ordered the pistons I didn't have the pocket change. Pistons seem to be the weak point so with a good tune, meth and Marty's magic of tuning with lower shift points should hopefully workout well.

Glad to hear you'll be back up soon. You should be safe running just forged piston on a 600 hp tune. I really think the cast pistons are the weakest link followed by the rods. Pistons are letting go first consequently followed by the rods. I've been running 620 rwhp for about a 1 yr now and have not had any issues "knock on wood".

r2 the valvesprings as his old ones were 85# on the seat, the new ones are 135#
Exhaust ports polished & cleaned up, CC chambers deburred -polished and heads surfaced. Cam journal was turned too with cam bearings installed. Should run to the moon and back....

What is the difference between the 85 and 135? I don't know if they were always supposed to be 135 and were worn out down to 85 or if 135's are just better.

What is the CC chamber?

When you have a turbo, it takes 2 psi in the exhaust to make 1 psi in the intake, that is why you try to keep the overlap in the cam low, to keep the dillution out and heat. The second is the intake valve requirement is greater as it is trying to lift open under boost. Stock they are around 100-110 installed, your's were low. The intake valve pressure requirement increases as boost is applied, in any manner. Otherwise it falls off early as it lifts the valve.
