Wish I had skills to have helped him out... :(

I know that on this site Marty has a good name and all.

But flyin have you seen some of the other srt8 websites. Man they flame the shit out of him????????????????????? blown engines and law suites.

Marty whats that all about? I mean Hell if my wife would've let me un-ass 4500 for the sts turbo on ebay, i'd have installed it and got a SUPER CONSERVATIVE tune from you. So I trust you but some sure don't like you.

And I understand that "INTERNET NUTSWINGERS" can blow stuff out of proportion.

In 9 years of business, I have been sued once, by a kid who popped his head gaskets claiming sabotage, he tried for $5000 and the judge awarded him $2500.
In the LX world, I built a non stroked Charger, they guy had oil consumption from a set of heads that were not even built by myself, and we bought him a Hemi stroker kit per his request.

Now when I post anything near the LX site, they ban me, like it affects me mentally or something? All because I would not become a supporting vendor on a site that bandwagons against me. And the person that sued, loves to post this everywhere I go.

In almost 10 years of secure work, I have people that you will never satisfy that have to be heard in the internet. If you heard from all my satisfied customers, you would simply get tired of seeing it too.

But I had a great friend once tell me, if you have people complaining about your work that never buy anything from you, then you must me doing something right and someone else is trying to kick you off the hill. (If your competition is not complaining, you must be doing something wrong)

So I simply keep on working, setting the records as high as I can with what the customer pays for, and run the business, like a working man. My crew, and customers love us, and we do what we can to make isuues right, even though you will never make every single person happy. Later! and back on topic- Flying low dyno next Tuesday!

No offense, Marty but I've heard some pretty nasty things about you on some Dakota R/T forums. Like not strapping a truck down properly and it flying off the dyno. Then you just kinda bolted everything back up to make it look like nothing happened. I dunno if thats true or not lol but I have heard some nasty things.

Those guys there helped me get a lead down test for uber cheap on my truck when I really needed it. I would recommend their shop for basic work. As much as I like them I don't know how they would be as a viper tuner but I think their mechanic skills are fine. Paul are you a member of Gulfcoastmuscle or gulfcoastunderground? They are both local forums.

Marty, I don't know if you caught my internet nutswingers comment but it is what Hennessey called naysayers on the boards back in the day...........

I only brought it up because of that Challenger post on LXforums................. The guy was pretty pissed, and when one person is that pissed it seems like many others that will never even have the dough to use your services flame the thread and make it worse.

If I ever get Stinkers Pistons and rods, and a used STS you'll tune it.................... If, if was a 5th we'd all be DRUNK! right!

I have also heard negative things about Marty on other forums. But for the purpose of this thread...I believe as far as the STS on our trucks, only one man has been able to make them survive and thrive. I think Smoke has done the most logical thing he could do under the circumstances...go to the man with a good track record with the STS.

I'm sorry Hoss i really didn't want to flame the thread out!

I'm really excited that flyin is getting his truck on the road soon and I hope it pulls 700 on the dyno!

On the issue with Marty he was recommend to me by a senior member here prior to him even being on this site. I traded emails with him and then a week later is when he got on the forum and then became a supporting vendor shortly after that. I was only looking for a good tuner for the STS using the SCT. I was going to do a full write up on my experience with Marty but I will cover a few things now.

We did my tuning on a Saturday. He removed the VEC 3, put on the 2 bar map and got work. Did about 10-12 runs and the tranny started leaking. He called a tranny guy that said it is probably just overheated and is overfilled which is causing it to vent out. He checked and that was indeed the problem. We did one more run to make sure and that is when the #3 let go. As I explained before a year earlier the #3 spark plug had impact. I didn't believe it then but do now that the #3 piston ring broke and just held together due to my very rich tune and meth. On the dyno we had the meth disconnected.

After it blew I was devastated. I mean just wanted to cry and wanted to just get rid of the truck. Marty told me not to make any rash decisions under stress. We got all my stuff out of the truck and then drove around for about 2 hours trying to find a rental car place that was open. While he was driving around he missed his daughters birthday party. He didn't get a friend or one of the people at the shop helping run the dyno, he drove me around instead of going to his own daughters party. I thought that said a lot about the man.

On the flip side things have taken twice as long as I thought. Some were legit delays and some were due to too much work and not enough time. Getting the cam journal turned went from 1 week to about 3-4. I have been riding the only 2 weeks left train for the past 6 weeks. But I would rather have quality work over rushed just get it out of the door work.

Taliban Dan installed my VEC 3 and tried to tune. He couldn't do the tune. Sean Roe tuned and did not get rid of my lean surges when cold and Charged me $250 an hour. Marty got 100 more TRQ then Roe tune in less then 1 hour. I was less then 500/500 on the Roe tune.

So that is a quick well not really quick but just a run down of things from me on KRC performance.

I agree, if you really "hear things" then simply ask me and I'll do my best to explain whether I was right or wrong.

No, I have had zero failures on strapping a dyno. (I don't strap them, the dyno owners do) We had a powerful 408 Dakota with slicks-throttle plate break and stick while it was being moved inside the bays, almost killed 2 people. The truck was rebuilt from the ground up with the insurance payment. Then goes out and runs a blistering 129mph through the traps with a full frame off resto he did not have to cover.

Always ask the person in question first, because on the internet, unless you know both persons directly, never take sides....knowing one person's side is never knowing the complete truth. A great comment never sticks in a persons head as much as a single bad comment....
The beauty of being the CEO-I get to choose the sites the business supports-That is why I support this site, and go to the GTG as much as work permits.

Imagine what the forums/people against me are going to say when I nail 1000rw in my Challenger this month! I can't even begin to imagine where it will go....

Later guys and have a great Sunday! Hope to see some of you guys in Portland this week....

I don't. I'm not looking for the monster build and I don't want to push the limits of stock rods with the turbo. 600 RWHP and TRQ somewhere around there will do me just fine. To much power and I will not be able to get it to the ground on street tires.

My Great Sunday is OVER and it sucked. going to bed after I run from the cops on need for speed most wanted....................

The Internet is a blessing and a curse for small business..................

Whats the deal with the cam journal/bearings in these engines? Flying and Tiny have had problems.

but hell the rods aren't the problem, the fail becuase the piston fails, pinches in the bore and the rod had no choice but to break. How bout 65o?

I think 650 is very close to the max a stock engine can survive...and that won't be for very long. I hope we will just start a culture of first mods being forged pistons and rods. From that base there are a lot of other things to be done, but the major issues are taken care of...learn and live...Good tune = Zoom, Bad tune = Boom.

I'll sneak over to Stinkers thread this week and post it. But you would be amazed how cams from the factory and grinders are not straight!!! (and how you straighten them...)
Until then, count down to next Tuesday for Flying low to head home safe.

I doubt that very much with this group. Unfortunately, we want instant satisfaction especially if you throwing 4-5k into an engine that's just the way it is, and I am guility as charged.

thanks Marty , the information will be much appreciated:rock:

I think we are starting to build a good base for everyone to get forged fairly decently priced:rock:

between Marty's knowldege of building, justins fabrication, finding an engine builder close to you, and good pricing I think everyone will have a good chance at starting to give the vipers a run for there money:rock:

all we have to do guys is work together, find out whats the best route to go, and go with it.
