“What they’ll say is, ‘Well it costs too much money,’

but you know what? It would cost, about...

It—it—it would cost about the same as what we would spend... It...

Over the course of 10 years it would cost what it would costs us...

(nervous laugh) All right. Okay. We’re going to... It...

It would cost us about the same as it would cost for about—

hold on one second. I can’t hear myself.

But I’m glad you’re fired up, though. I’m glad.†—Barack Obama, eloquently

explaining... uh, never mind:confused:

.

:dontknow: What was that from supercar? What was the topic? Is there a video or article? Help us out so we get it.

explaining what?!

Exactly, He was asked at one of his rallies how much his universal health

care plan was going to cost and that was his responce.

Not to sound like I'm defending Obama, but we could probably find 5 cases like that everyday of the current President speaking. Elmer Fudd was a better public speaker than GW, and Rainman often made more sense hehehe.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee .............. I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee ........that says, fool me once, shame on ....................................shame on you. Fool me ..............you can't get fooled again."

But at least we didn't end up in a nucular war during his administration.

Thought you'd like that one.... :D

The best is the part when he is writing the cards out. Look at the words.

Just saw that. You know, with him leaving office the saddest folks are probably the writers for Jon Stewart and Colbert. He did most of their writing for them hehehe. They will never have it so easy again.

True... Lewis Black will need to pick on McCain. I dont see Obama winning at all. McCain's past is also inflated about being a war hero. I read that he shot off a missle after he landed on an aircraft carrier when he was a pilot that caused a huge explosion and killed hundreds of our guys. Not sure of the details, but why would that not be something brought up?

If I was betting on the outcome, my money would have to be on Obama.

As far as McCain's past, I believe he is a true American hero. I'm not sure about the accident that you referred to, I might have to look that up. But I do know that he had the chance to leave hell, and stayed as it was the right thing to do. He didn't abandon his Brothers in Arms at a time when it would have been the easy thing to do. I would really love to have the chance to meet him, and just have a conversation. But I'm not convinced that I want him as my President.

True... but what did McCain really know that he could have given up by talking? I am not a military guy but I always thought you were given very little info except what you need to know for accoplish your mission. Need to know basis. They tortured him and others for not talking.

I heard McCains father was also an Admiral in the Navy during that time and he was very disappointed with him as well. In fact, they have never even spoken about what happened from what I have heard. McCains father apparently thought his son should have just died with honor for his country. This is what I have gathered by doing some reading and talking to people that know about the situation. I am not down playing McCain myself. Just throwing out some things I heard.

Wouldn't you think that Obama would have a canned response to that very question? It shoudn't have thrown him like that. His inexperience will show sooner or later. That's right, he is going to go "talk" to radical fundamentalists and convince them that we are good people and their mission in life is a sham. Like no one has never tried that before! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There are some necessary evils in this world. Pretending threats are not there doesn't make them go away. We have to lie in the bed we made whether we like it or not. I wish the war would be over tomorrow, but I also don't want a mess like previous administrations left the first time around. Policy will speak for itself.
