It's the first day of school here, that means it's the Boy's first day of Kindegarten. Hard to believe he is old enough to be going off to school. Where the hell does the time go?

Just wait till they are graduating from college. Then you'll really wonder where the time went:dontknow:

Congratualtions!

They grow up so fast!
Now you get to enjoy watching him in all those plays, shows and other activities he will be involved in. The comes the sports. The proud father.

So, did you get teary eyed, today. Or did your wife handle the emotional stuff today

Going through the same thing here, sure is quiet now. :(

I just went to my oldest's High School graduation a couple of months back. Now this one is starting school, and the oldest will graduate from college, then the twins will start Kindegarten. Man, I sure do have a spread out brood here LOL.

And yes Ken, I was bawling my eyes out. They event sent the school nurse over to try to talk to me hehehehehehehe.

Bob..Thats cool..I missed my sons first day of school as he was in foster care at the time. (long story, suffice to say I am another who has had some issues with Child Protective Services) He is now 12 and lives with me full time. We are not as close as we once were, but every now and then he says "Dad, I love you." and it makes me feel good. I cant go back and change the things he went through when he was younger, but I try my hardest to make sure he is happy now. Time slips away quickly, and life rolls on at breakneck speed. He has hit a milestone in both your lives. Just one of many moments to be proud of.

Well Bob I feel your pain. I think it is worse on my wife cause she stays at home with the kids. This will be the first year for preschool for my youngest. School still has a few weeks before it starts up there.

My dear departed Mama always said, "you spend the first two years teaching them to walk and talk, and the rest of their lives telling them to sit down and shut up."

If you think the first few years went by fast, hold on, you ain't seen shit yet, it speeds up as it goes...
