First drag for the Q/C

I have never been to a track but am dying to try it out. To the best of my knowledge there are no tracks in my area, Long Island, NY. If anyone knows of a place to do a couple of runs please let me know.

Check in your state on this site. It looks like to me MIR(Maryland International Raceway is about 4-5 hours away from you on a quick search. That is one of the best tracks in the country. Some of the record times are from that track. People go there to make records.

Thanks! Looks like the closest is Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ.

I think a few members have been there too. If I remember right it is a good track too. I am pretty sure the club had a GTG there.

Thinking of maybe going this wednesday. I don't wanna take over this thread, but what is meant by Test & Tune and No Time Grudge Runs?

"13, Wed Unmuffled and Muffled Test & Tune + No Time Grudge Runs"

Test & tune means you can run as many times as you want. Depending on how many cars there are you could get 2-15 runs in. Regular race days you get 3 or so practice runs and then elimations start. No time Grudge runs. Never heard that term. I would have to guess no times are displayed:dontknow:

Test & Tune is basically Time Only. Hence you can run all you want without getting eliminated like you do in bracket racing.
