Drive it like you stole it...I admit it is really tough to restrain the revs!
 
I found that my truck actually accelerates quicker if I shift at 5200 RPMs.

Sean Roe maintains that these engines perform best if they never exceed 5500. So your observation may be right on.
 
Yes sir. And they are adjustable which allows you to find the best setting with a little testing. While it is no four-link...it does help in weight transfer and elimination of wheel hop. Plus they look kewl! Can't ignore that.
