First off, I love the truck. Here are my impressions. For a truck, it handles quite well. I do see what people mean, when they say the back end wants to jump out when hitting bumps in the road while on turns. The brakes seem great, atleast for every day driving. As for the performance, it's pretty good. I feel though, as if something is holding it back a little. Would this be cured with a PCM flash? I believe what I'm feeling is the famous torque management crap that dodge implemented in the automatic transmissions. Now don't get me wrong, When stomping on it from a stop it spins the tires, tracks sideways a little and then proceeds to bark second gear. I guess, I'm looking for a more crsip throttle reponse. It's almost like it lags a little when accelerating normally from around 40 mph or so. I hope I'm explaining it correctly. But overall, I'm very plased with the truck. Just needs a little tweaking. I warned you guys, that I would have some dumb questions.

How bout some pics?

Welcome!

You have all the questions of every QC owner. No dumb questions here.

Save up till you can get headers, catless mids, exhaust, and SCT set up for those mods all at once and you'll notice a BIG difference in performance from stock, and you'll have an easier time on install. Look into some caltracs aswell, you'll still spin, allot, but you'll spin straight lol.

Don't forget the shitty factory paint job....one of my first impressions:D Get a PCM and definitely get rid of those cats.

I think the SCT tuner is what I want. That's the one that allows for a few different tunes to be stored in the tuner, correct? If so, who is the best to get that from? I want the most reliable tunes. Don't want to blow anything up. As for the cats. Is it just a matter of going to the muffler shop and having him gut out the rear cats?

yeah...or you could go with the front and rear...but just gettin that ass to sit down helps the look tremendously...

and as far as the cats go...you can cut off the rear resonators just after the second set of 02 regulators...then (when you install your new exhaust;)) you can run a 3" from there back:D

Call Sean @ ROE Racing... he's in FL as well

The SCT will make the biggest difference for you, since you are a QC...Then the cat delete, but you should do your whole exhaust, because the cats, muffler, and resonator are all hindering your pedal response...Cut all that stuff out and go dual exhaust with a pair of high flow mufflers...the pedal will feel tight after that :D

Identical twin to mine. Great Choice on trucks. OUTSTANDING Choice on Color. As you will soon know, Mineral Gray is the Fastest Color, contrary to what you may have been told by some other people.... :)

I'm a fan of the color :D But its got a couple doors to many.

pcm flash or sct tuner, cat delete, exhaust, leveling kit, jmb intake...that'll do you....for a start:D

Like Viperpowa said, Caltracs will keep you pointed straight during those John Force burnouts!! LOL Installs when you install your drop kit.

Truck will be a competly different animal with new tune and cat delete and exhaust. :burnout:

That a damn nice color SANTEEN. I often wish they used that color for 2004 and 2005 models.
