okay, it was your first pass. We'll give you that, but just HOW stock was was it?

Virgin and untouched just as it rolled off the dealer lot or with bolt ons like filters, exhaust, etc????

Not bustin on ya, just curious cause no one else's truck ran that fast BONE STOCK.

I would not run at the track with the stock 4.10 gears..........its only gonna beat up the clutch if not burn it out completly. Wait till you change them out. Changing out those stock gears is such a great mod......whether is 4.56 or 4.88, it will feel so much lighter than the stock 4.10's.

Anthony, get that pcm flashed by DC Perf. with a stage two, get rid of the cats and your truck will be a completly different animal. Your throttle response will be so much improved.......you can really feel the power going to the rear wheels IMO.

patrick

damned Patrick, don't you make me daubt again   :D :p the 4.88's are in my garage ....:dontknow: :dontknow:    :bebored:

For what it's worth, I ran just as fast with the 4.10s as the 4.56s in the 1/4 mile. The 4.56s were quicker thru the 1/8 mile but the 4.10s made up the difference in the 2nd half of the track. ;)

If you're referring to Island Dragway in NJ, then the best thing you can do is never go back there - it kinda sucks IMO.

Make the trip to Atco, Englishtown, or even Cecil County in Maryland.

Warmer weather, say in the 60's, will greatly improve traction as well.

Island Dragway just had its entire length resurfaced and it is GOOD!;)

Oh I understand about busting my balls. you do not how much shit i catch over on svtperformance. yes bone stock just as it rolled off of the assembly line. I had only owned the truck 2 days at the time of the video.

And yes I am still on the stock 4.10 and a new stock clutch just went in about 2K miles ago. I have 41K on the truck now and pull my cobra nd Lightning around with the 10. I must be living right or something.

you can ask uniboy and vprpwr they can also vouch for me on the west coast I can drive.

What kinda truck was that in the other lane????

i was waiting for that one. it was a newer Chevy 6.0 auto with a progressive dual stage 250 shot and on full slicks. he launched on me out of the hole but at the end i was reeling him end just not enough track that day.

:D Okay, reading through the posts on this thread I came up with a solution. For one, the 4.10 gears have got to go. Perhaps the 4.56 set up will do since it's in between the 4.10 and 4.88's. Secondly, headers will be in the mix as well as cat delete. HOWEVER, what should be done when she starts throwing me a code for no cats? Where do I get the cat sims? Howz about taking just two cats off with header install? Also, I am sure she needs a tune up, and the spare PCM will be flashed and installed with the 170 deg T-stat.. After all of that she will see the track again. But to be sure, Blaine I will have you jump in the driver's seat for another go before the modding. I don't blame the 14.00 on slow91 because I know he knows his stuff. I just don't think #1900 was ready that night. Plus I want to get a second look at this issue with another experienced driver. She may be used to my  "completely opposite from drag strip" driving style anyway. So I may have to disconnect the gnd cable for a few to reset the PCM. There, did I miss anything?

Blaine, would you be able to install the rear end gears down at PSI?:dontknow: Where could I get some 4.56's?

I can you post the whole time slip, 60' 330' 1/8 mile 1000' and 1/4 mile?

Finally saw this thread. What was failed to mentioned here is that it was the FIRST time I drove Anthony's truck down the 1/4-mile. With his new clutch/flywheel set-up, I wanted to get a couple passes before slipping it and getting a good 60'.

Also, due to time constraints, a second pass was not possible. This Friday night with no other mods other than disconnecting the PCM and reconnecting then actually DRIVING #1900 this time will definately yield different results.

Gotta realize that I'm not going to go out and thrash on another man's vehicle until I know how it's gonna' react ripping through the gears. If 2nd and 3rd passes would have been possible, this thread would have started much differently.

Nvmd then that answers my question.

Yeah those items brought up by slow91 were not mentioned earlier. But then again, I'm not at all experienced with 1320’ runs so :dontknow: I’m not exactly qualified to bring VTCoA the eyewitness action news from Houston Raceway Park.. :stupido2: Once I get back from :sheep:Norway:viking: there are going to be some major changes that I have been discussing:listen: with Blaine@PSI and others.:call2::call: Of course other changes such as rear end gears are likely to be implemented. I just hope the taller gears won't reduce my top end speed too much. After all of what I plan is achieved I will make it a point to visit the track regularly with practice run after practice run until my skillz are acceptable.:driver:
