So I finally grew a pair and run the SRT10 at the track. She is a 06 with a magnaflow muffler frankensteined in (it was there when i bought her and looks pretty crappy) she is completely stock other then that to the best of my knowledge. Anyway, first rattle out if the trap she put down a 9.23 with a 2.20 60' @ 72mph. I had a pretty good spin in first, slight spin going to second. Track prep wasnt the greatest and it was 112* yesterday, but all and all for the conditions, and my no stick driving ass she did pretty good.

hmmm you should bealot faster than that....unless your up in Canada..... Are you in a qc or Rc?

With a 2.20 60' and 112* heat ! His time and speed are inline with normal!

Sorry, shes a RC, and I am in Odessa TX. It was a little on the hot side that day. The 60' looked a out there, but this is the first time I have run this truck. It was a little wierd going that slow down the track. I am used to my race car. I made 2 passes, and a friend of mine made 2 passes, and all the 60times ranged 2.2-2.7, we had some pretty good spin off the line on every pass, I am sure this is the result of having the factory tires on it still. I had fun, and i see a high 8 potential in the truck the way she sits (driver replacement) but I am more curious if this run sounds about right. The other 3 runs are not even worth posting, missed third on my 2nd pass 9.70, my friend missed 2nd and 3rd on his first pass lol resulting a 10.2, his second pass missed 3rd with a 9.75.

You can get the truck down around 2.0 with alittle practice. These trucks are heavy and have alot of torque so spinning uncontrollably off the line is normal! Yea and third gear is hell !!! Find a better shifter or slow down the shift! Once you gain some confidence , you then will be plagued with the dreaded 1-2-1 gear change or the other one, 1-2-3-2!! They both are embarrassing! !! Lol

If it's any relevance, I ran my QC with 6 speed this past weekend in the 1/8 with a couple RCs and we were all dialed in around 9.0 with me being a 9.1.
I clocked off several 9.11-9.12 and even a 9.10 and my final pass to win runner up I ran too fast and did an 8.90. These are on street tires as well and spinning alot of first and second. I had 2.1 60s and trapping 80 thru the 1/8 mile. Third is a bitch!

i usually run 2.0's consistently...best 8th so far is 8.36 with a 1.96 60' on street tires with full air pressure... it was close to 90 out, too...

can't wait for fall to get here...i'm thinking it'll be in the 8 teens on street tires...definitely 7.8's on DR's...(i hope, so anyways...)

Already got a handfull of the dreaded 1-2-1 on the second pass, still got a 9.70 though lol. Shook her so hard they said the bed cover popped up, and yes i was some kind of embarresed. Thanks for the input, at least I have a starting point to pick a direction now, and knowing I am close to the ball park average. The future will be clutch upgrades and a better shifter with some good tires, then I will move in to the go fast parts.

These trucks like cold air due to the large displacement so a small , say, 75 shot on a stock tune really unleashes the beast !! Limit rpm to 5500 and they are at the power level they should have been at from factory!
