Interpolation is good way to solve a problem. Try 2900.

got to learn to feather that clutch out!.... =bad for clutch, good for timeslips:D....i usually hang around 3000, and in the heat of the moment, it's easy to dump the clutch, therefore doin a burnout, or bogging her down...just have to "practice"....in a sanctioned place, obviously:D

Reduce tire pressure if you are going on stock rubber...

Better yet: CalTracks, Stinkers Rear End, 15 inch slicks...and that should solve your problems.

Thanks. All the guys on kyhorsepower.com were complaining about the slick track conditions. I'm definetly gonna give it a shot again real soon.

first timer with your mods, most excellent:congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

slick track? even better:rock:

look out twelves here he comes:D

Very good times! If you guys ever make it down to Beach bend raceway give me a shout! I bet it's a good haul for you though.

You did great for your first time down the quarter mile:congrats: :congrats: :congrats:
It's definitly addictive,Lower your tire pressure, practice slipping the clutch,
and your times will drop !!!!!!!!!

Great job! Get some Dr's and woohoo you'll be in the high 12's :congrats:

If you slip the clutch on these trucks be prepared to walk home. Drop the clutch hard on the line and practice feathering the throttle.

Exactly!!! I cant believe people are suggesting to slip and feather the clutch. Thats the quickest way to spend $2k!! Stock clutch setup will only handle a couple of those......then your done!:( I found out the hard way with 3k miles on my truck.

Like Fatjack said, dump the clutch and feather the throttle.

Im with him, best of 1.79 60 ft on stock pirelli

I stand corrected,:D
When I had my stock clutch,I would feather it.It lasted aprox. 14,000 miles.
Now I have a Centerforce unit,It does not like slipping at all!!!
Slipping your stock unit should be fine for a couple of runs.Although I do have
a few years experience behind me,I too, wouldn't recommend this practice for
an extended period of time.....

i don't get it....i STILL have the stock (original) clutch in mine...and just turned 60k...now it's almost gone...but i've been drivin it hard...ask tony:D...and it's been down the track a lot...funny how it's all over the board...
