I finally got my first worthy kill! Not to much for fast vehicles here. So on to the story. I was cruising around having fun in the truck, when I heard a diesel goosed it by me. I turned and seen a red duramax flatbed with dual 6" stacks. We played around for a couple blocks and came to a light. He's spooling up and I am ready to go. Light turns green and my lane was still a little bit wet from melting snow. So guess what, he flew by me like I was standing still(no traction). I seen it was dry where I stopped but the water I rolled through screwed me. But I learned that this duramax was no slouch. He took off with hardly any soot and that turbo was not stock. I catch up to him at the next light but there is a van in front of him. I stop short so I can talk to him and his smokin hot girl. Yep he's got some serious mods ATS turbo, tranny mods, and of course a programer. I am diggin his truck and his woman, he's doin the same(just the truck). We drive by the wal-mart going out of town, where the speed limit changes from 30 to 65. Both of us are sitting back(van still in front of us but with some distance). I drop it down to 1st and we do about a 30 mph roll. As soon as we hit the 65 mph sign it's on. He gets a small jump on me, about a fender. Time for second. Now we are even and I am starting to walk away. Had to shut her down at about 75 boy that van came up quick. Gave the guy a thumbs up and went on my way. That was some good racing. With all of the action I came up with a question. I know a non-turbo diesel is pretty worthless and when you are at altitude you loose a lot of power. I don't have the exact numbers but lets say 30% loss. With a turbo diesel you don't lose as much say 20%. My question at a lower altitude will his duramax motor be more effiecent than ours and would I have the same result in a kill.

You would still have the advantage unless he has like the juice with attitude or something like that then it would be very interesting. I had the new cummins turbo before my truck and that thing would fly once the turbo spooled up but it was a pig off the line. I have a friend who has the juice with attitude in his furd and it's puttin out around the same ponies.:D

I don't know if he had the Juice or not but some type of programmer. I hear for Chevy's the juice works real good compared to Dodge and Ford. A friend of mine put the juice in his 6.0 powerstroke when they first rolled out and just ate his tranny and the motor wasn't doin to well either.

Yeah I heard that too! But this guy has mucho denero and his truck is pretty quick. I haven't had the opportunity to run it yet but I'm lookin forward to it!:D

my friend has a mbnr full exhaust, a k&n intake, and a bamks 6 gun on his 04 6.0 ext cab shortbed f-250. he won the diesel nats in englishtown with a 12.8 all day long. not bad for a diesel

That's pretty strong, we have a guy in Lakewood Washington called Dr. Performance and this guy is running if you can fathom this 9's with a Diesel Dually!! It's an awesome truck to see in person!:D

Stay Away, repeat Stay Away from Dr. Performance. That asshole is the John Hennessey of the diesel world. I had diesels from 1990 until I bought this truck in 2005. I heard plenty of stories about this guy.
