Steve I am sending all four of mine to Goodrich Technology in California.

They have a new process called PermaStar. I think the finished product is the highest luster chrome finish I have ever seen. Their process strips, refinishes the wheel, puts down a base coat then chrome is applied and finally a clear coat. You may have seen a set at the MOPAR Nationals when we were there.

Here is the web site...I think the cost is less than $200 a wheel.

Steve did you want to change your NR wheels to a chrome finish?? I may be wrong but the goodrich process is only for a chrome finish.

Steve, you could try some aircraft stripper, then polish them out and seal the polish with Zoop Seal. I think if you polished them right, you'd have a chrome like finish.

Stripping the paint with the stripper prevents deep scratches being made by sanding the finish off.

Good luck and post pics!

No I have 2 NR wheels which were returned to me by the Body shop after the accident I had. TheY have some scratches. Deciding what to do with them. Either refinish as NR or strip and polish. Dont know whats cost effective. Or should I just toss them? Stanimal says he has a solution!!!

Did you go direct to Goodrich or to Pacific Rims?

steve. honestly what i would do with those.....

i would bring them to my shop first, tig weld the bad spots and grind then sand them till they were gone. the big problem there is they need to be checked for invisible cracks first. if they are cracked it is illegal to weld them to fix them here in jersey. they may also be bent bad. i will talk to the company and see what they can do for ya. i am going to email them the pic and see if they can color match them as well. i spoke to them today about polishing, and they dont get involved in that. the most they will do as far as that is media blast them then clearcoat them. ill see what they can do tomorrow, may be monday at latest.

Ok, here is what I am doing:D I have a set of wheels that are damaged that I am sending to permastar next week. They are going to fix them and do the permastar coating for $205 each and that's with shipping:rock: I thought It was a heck of a deal so I jumped on it:D

Exactly my plan...please let me know the outcome...

As soon as the snow flies...PermaStar here I come!

By the way I asked them to come here to respond to any questions.

Maybe they will show up...Jack and Patrick...get the Vendor "pitch" ready!
