FL 1/4 mile Truck Challenge @ Moroso July 21st

Saturday, July 21st is the next Truck Challenge at Moroso/West Palm Beach. NBT, 1qksrt, 6pak and Litemup went to this past one. Its a good venue and alot of fun! A little warm...bring some shade! 30 bucks to get in and race....that gets you 2 qualifying practice runs and into the 1st round of eliminations. Its a bracket race format so you don't have to be the fastest to win....just consistent. It was a majority of L's and a couple diesel trucks.

I know Que Locura and Litemup will be down for this next one.....who else!??:dontknow:

I'm definetly in for July 21st. Called to check on the truck earlier today and said it will probably be ready for pick up tomorrow afternoon baring any complications. Rice I'll call as soon as pick it up.

Thats why I want to go....gotta practice a bit!!! Get more consistent and try and cut a 1.7 60 foot. JMB cut a 1.6 so I figure a 1.7 is attainable.

Good news, its back to night racing!

Gates open 4:30 / 5:00 pm
There will be a road race during the day and our start time could be slightly delayed for their completion.
As it stands right now, we will meet at the skid pad area - follow the road straight back as you turn 90 degrees around the chain link fence. Moroso will provide us our own tech inspector at that area - do not go through the normal tech line.

Don't forget you need pants and a helmet, they will be enforcing this at the next event.

I hear ya. I was hotter than Hades in that black truck, windows up, helmet on, a/c off....
There is actually a trick to being a little more comfortable. You can wear shorts and then use pull over pants for the racing... just strip between rounds! Thats what I did last weekend :rock: .
