wup guys... i have a question....
well by now you'll know... that i have boomer's catless mids and magnaflow exhaust.. the other day at the club i was showing my friends how loud my truck is... i rev it at ariund 5400 rpm and they toldme that flames came out of the exhaust of course i didn't believe them... but last week i had i little race w/ my brother he was driving the qc and i let it go... by the time he let it go he was ahead of me and i think at the time he decelerate i big (long) flame came out of the exhaust it was like 1 1/2 - 2 feet long... is that normal is that somthing that i have to worry about... i mean it looked awesome but i'm scare that somthing might be wrong... note... i still don't have the sims on so i have the check engine light on all the time... any advice will be appreciate:)

I think that is probably OK. Under decelerations your throwing raw fuel down the exhaust and in turn its igniting in the exhaust.... take a look at race cars what they do when decelerating. I think mine probably does it to.. but have never had anyone follow me to find out... especially since I am running really fat at the moment under boost, and if I get out of the pedal.. there is all the raw unburnt fuel still flowing into the exhaust.

I know my sand car does it all the time...

But others might want to chime in here as well...

Since you don't have the sims in, you might be running real rich (guessing) and that may be why your throwing flames. It looks really cool. I was following a Pantera one night that was running rich. Excess fuel was pooling in his cats and he had four perfect orange/blue flames comming out his pipes. A state trooper told him how awsome it looked but said he can't do that. So he got it fixed. What's up DJ?

LOL, flamer, new callsign.

Probably, like they are saying, a Rich A/F ratio and/or fuel in the exhaust.

mine didnt even do that with open headers. :-( I did have the CEL though!

the ECU shuts off fuel on decel until you get down to about 1500 rpm, so you must be running pretty rich. try resetting the ecu

THATS WHAT I'M GOING TO DO PUT THE SIMS AND RESET THE ECU
