This is some of the crap we have to deal with in FL... (this is from one of my other forums)

FL Residents Renew Your Auto Tags NOW and Save 50%+
The State of Florida is jacking up its drivers license and license plate fees (i.e. taxes) by over 50% in many cases beginning Sept. 1 (and, of course, the state employees will get no raises again this year). I was just at the DMV today and the clerk urged me to tell my friends to hurry in to renew before the new fees take effect. She said that anyone that has tags up for renewal in Sept, Oct, and Nov can renew now at the old rates. (Those up for renewal in December or later cannot renew this far in advance...Sorry.) And for icing on the cake you can lock in the old rate for 2 years by paying for both years up front. Hurry there are only 2 weeks left. Here is a sampling of the hike in fees. (Please no hating by those in other states who already pay much, much more than we do....we already know it.)

Dammit, mine comes due in December, I will still pay. Better than having to try and pass an inspection here in NY

you're still lucky guys

wanna know how much I spent to register my truck in Italy?

something like $6000.00!!!! 6 fck.. grands!

but smoking ricers at traffic lights: priceless!

dont feel bad i paid 114.00 to change the title to jase's truck in his name, 56 bucks to renew a cdl here in BAMA and we have to pay advelorem taxes on new vehicles. why you think i run a dealer tag on my hemi truck.

Figures same here. I'm in December! I thought all trucks in Florida are due on December due to weight or at least that's what I was told?

I saw that in the paper last week. Gotta get both mine done since my B-day is in October.

a least its the same every year in FL and still cheaper. in GA the go off 80% of the value of the truck and some BS math later they pick what u pay its crazy i payed over $350 last year and have to pay state taxes yall still getting off easy
