I hear everybody running these over rated and over costly exhuast systems.Borla,Magnaflow,ect....What about takeing 2 flowmaster 40s($55 a piece) and just running true duals and dumping them under the bed?Eleminate the cat and just run 3" pipe to them.its cheap and, well lets face it,there Flowmaster's.But would it sound good on a v-10 engine?

Anytime you dump it under the bed you get loads of drone . The underside of the bed acts like a big speaker box , amplifying the sound Sounds good out side the truck though usually really deep. Not sure how it would sound with a 10 though. I am sure some one on here has tried this set up and will chime in.

i have two flowmasters on mine but ran two pipes out the tail of bed just like stock pipe

does it sound good thow?and what seiries do you have?
i have the 40,s ,,,sounds like a v-10 ,,i also had a H pipe fabed and installed in front of mufflers

had the 40 series on mine. switched to borola bullets(glasspacks) and picked up 40 hp cold and 30 consistent when hot. FM are still a little restrictive.

James do you still run all 4 cats? I want so bad to remove at least two and install high flows in place of the remaining two.. But you know how state inspection is around here. Plus I would have to find a good mufler shop willing to do the deed.

yes has four when stock i bought justins 3in mids with one high flow cat per side

with flowmasters i dont have any drone in cab with H pipe it cuts down on the bubbling sound V-10 put out

but i have to say i plan on removing them ,,,they came on truck when i bought it ,,

Yes it does. I had my 2 rear cats removed and I have a Magnaflow cat back. It sounds very nice. Real deep to. But at highway speeds on cruse control it's just a nice light sound until you get on it. Very very happy withthis set up even as a daily driver.

I have 2 40s installed verticley,no water heater sized muffler,in the trash it went, same with the resonator,my truck has that old school hot rod sound:rock:

So remove the last 2 cats, then 2 40s,does that sound good? And what would be the prob with removeing all four cats.My orginal sate is OK where i register my trucks as farm eqipment, well becuz i live on a farm and i can..LOL.but we dont have inspections and on farm trucks we are allowed to do anything to them.So im not concerned about sound..

its the senseors, take the rear cats off they have no senseors,so you dont thorw a code, then the flomasters,I just have not got to the cats yet,it yeilds 25 ponies cat delete:rock: :burnout:

bull i have the high flow cats and reinstalled my sensors,,,never had a code ,,if you go catless then you need to do something with sensors
