Flywheel.

I am hopefully gettting all my clutch stuff this week finaly, but I have a question now. DC just released there new flywheel is that going to be a better overall choice for our trucks? I have heard that the light weight wheels are to light and that a slighty heavier one would work better. Thoughts?

What I am hearing as well. I think I am going to do the same thing. Heavier flywheel and stronger material. Nothing against the fidanza, just know I am hard on my clutch. I think mine is going bye bye. Centerforce with DC and viper slave. Thats the way I am goin.

Everyone has the fidanza. Aside from the stock OEM, there has not been another alternative it seems. The stock is larger, heavier, and steel. The Fidanza is aluminum and some have made mention that the softer metal may not be enough for the power our rigs put out. Other have no issues at all. If this new one had not come out, I would go with Fidanza. Now we have another option.

Plus the price is about the same for either. Fidanza will give you quicker launch but slower top speed. The DC will be better than stock off the line apparently, lighter, higher top speed, and stronger.

That is my interpretation of it. If I am wrong, someone comment.

I am getting my 2nd centerforce installed this week....it will have been one year and 14,000 hard miles. I'll let you know what kind of shape the fidenza is in once we pull it.

I have had my CF/ Findanza setup for two years now. No problems whatsoever. 7k miles.

well, from what i understand.. A heavier flywheel maintains higher RPM's easier...
so ideally a heaver flywheel would be good for drag racing.. where the
fadanza is good for road racing.. because it's lighter it will spin up quicker :rock:
the new one that DC came out with seem's like the best of both worlds..

You already have it!!!!...........its a no brainer, install that bad boy. I have never heard of one failing in the three years I have been a member of the nfff site or this one.

Install, break in properly, then:burnout: :rock:
