FLYWHEEL

Why stock? What are you running now? Sorry, I don't have one. Just curious to see if you're running aluminum.

running stock but it seems its too burnt up to resurface.....not sure why though..lol....I have heard from several people that the stock is the way to go. The aluminum one cant handle the weight or something like that. I have heard both sides but decided to stay stock.

Does anyone know what fails on the aluminum flywheel or is it just too light for a truck?

the lighter flywheel doesnt give enough enertia to launch the truck , the light flywheel is good for reving high quickly.

some will dispute this tho

Have there been any data between both flywheels?

i know a few stats..........the OEM is cheaper!...........Leaves you more money to buy stuff from stinker!

Go with the OEM.

I have had both...OEM is what I went back to.

New ones from Dodge are only about $230.

If you find one make sure it's for a 04. The crank sensor is different on the 05~06 flywheel.

i can beat that:p

honestly kenne, unless you are a racer, you probably will never notice the difference, it really only comes into affect under extreme conditions,

such as trainmain, he declares he gets a better 60 foot time with the fidanza aluminum flywheel, while most others actually get better times with the oem.

its all inthe driver bud, but basics are heavy flywheel, more inertia off the line, slower to rev,
aluminum flywheel, less inertia, quicker to rev.

seat of pants difference, depends if ya sitting on ya nutts or not:p

I know on racebikes, lighter flywheels = super fast rev + hard to ride slow. The engine will stall easily.

same basic principal,

on a bike at some tracks you need more weight on the crank to pull corners,

others longer straights so less weight..

same with the trucks bo, jsut different
