Sorry gang.... been nutso here.... got my hands full...so to speak.
I finally got the finances in order... Dawn will most likely be out to mid to late April, as she is progressing very slowly... mornings are the worst...and her mobility at times seems to be no better than 4 weeks ago. Pain management is always a struggle, and I am growing concerned for the length of time she has been on the meds....even though she is self gating.:(
She will start PT next week, and I believe she needs to be driven...and I feel that will help her.:dontknow: Time will tell.... this constant drainage from her incision site is brutal...and a month of tape has broken down the dermis...and constant tender skin tears create multiple dressing changes to keep from further breakdown.:mad: Wish it would stop.
My Dad will be in today, and the help around here will be GREATLY appreciated, as I can't keep up anymore....between work, maintenance here(groceries, laundry, yard, dog's, bills, and all the other BS), and Dawn...I'm shot.

To pull the "brighter side" of it... at least it's 74 and sunny here while my Pop is down, and I hope to break away for an afternoon or two of fishing.... one of our life long father/son way's to enjoy each others company.

Silver...thanks for the continued querry regarding Dawn.... thanks everyone for the support and prayers.
 
What's the doctor say about the continueing drainage from the incision? I would think that this would be a concern after this long.

Yeah no kidding......ends up... it's due to an allergy to the vicryl sutures he used to sew her up inside.
We have been in the office to check on it...and the suture site produced (when he put pressure on it) one of the disolvable sutures... not disolved.. squirted right out.:eek: :nurse:
That's when it became apparent...her body would not absorb them...so they are taking second easiest path.

Thanks Denise...everybody. Sorry I have not been on much, as I have started picking up side jobs, on my day's off work.:eek:

Dawn is not progressing, as they had to drain her back yesterday...again...due to the constant rejection of the remaining vicryl in there....her skin is breaking down from a month of tape...the irritation to the surrounding tissue, has provided her with a +1 pitting edema. She is so miserable...I really feel for her.... Been brutal...
I am glad Dad is in town...the refreshing positive note has been great....so for the moment ...were coping.
He just took off for a bike ride, as it's beautiful outside today:p

So now I am taking the chance to catch up on the forum. ;) :rock:

We lift Dawn and Ken before your eyes once more and ask that you would bring healing, peace and restoration to Dawn's body..... We ask that your healing power would permeate every cell in her body and restore it to perfection....

We ask that some greater good will result from this difficulty and that a vision of that would be established in their hearts and minds....

It's so hard for us as simple human beings to understand your will for our lives..... and for the human mind to comprehend why we must suffer in order to accomplish the destiny that is prepared for us....

Whatever the case may be, we pray that You would provide the strength to persevere and forge ahead during these times of such difficulty...

Dawn is improving ...slowly... but improving... were kind of used to the fact it's going to take some time.... she is going stir crazy....and I'm dealing with it.
Dad made it home safely... he called earlier.
I'm hammered dog shit... and I have not had a good day.:mad:

When does this shit stop.
