Hey Hawk,

I couldn't post the pix for ya on PM...dammit....

So here they are.....

This is what a wine red Les Paul looks like with gold hardware....

You make your own decision as to which you like best.... But the gold hardware is free.....a nice bonus.....

Also, I think gold looks alot better as the instrument ages..... This one is 18 yrs old...

Dang "D" ~! thats a work of art bro!

It's just something I needed to show Hawkeye.....

Thanks Ton'......................It's one of my very best guitars....It's been a trusted companion for almost twenty years and a much loved old friend.....

Thanks for the props.....

That does look really nice.

Well here is a pic of the studio. It doesn't look as good as a custom or even a standard. But it is something to start out with. Its shown with the gold and the chrome.

Whatever you choose Eric, I salute your selection.........

Every guitar man needs at least one Les Paul...........

Get a very wide strap.....Studios aren't anvils but they are still heavy...

A nice wide strap spreads that weight over a larger area and makes it more comfortable.....

Well done bro....

Very nice geetar there Tim. Wish I still had my Rick 4001 bass that I bought brand new way back in 1976. The thing was beautiful, I special ordered it in white w/black accents, waited 6 months for that thing to get to me. I played it through a killer Kustom amp, the old ones with the pillow type finish in mettalic silver hehehe.

I played a Kustom back in the 70's too...They were pretty good amps... I hear they're out again. But like Triumph motorcycles, I doubt that they're the same as before.....

The Ricks were beautiful too... They ushered in the entire "round wound" percussive bass playing style of today.....Thank you, Stan Clark.....

Nice input Bobby.....and thanks for the props....

Yup, I had the rotosound round wound strings on it, had a pre-amp on the treble pickup too so I had a real good twangy sound to it. I'll tell you though, those strings ate the shit out of the old fingertips LOL.

Yup,

Not like the old black rubberized strings ...... Rotos are just like acoustic guitar strings... Big fatass windings on 'em that just dig right into the end'a yer finger like a buzz saw..... Especially when slidework is called for....

Makes the ends of yer fingers look like they belong to Gollum...........

Thanks my friend.....

Sure, the Hagstrom Swede....I remember it from 1974 I believe..... Everyone was impressed with it cuz Joe Walsh was playing one...... It was quite a nice guitar.......Had scrollwork in the headstock like an old Gibson F series mandolin.

It's nice to have toolbox that looks purdy up on the wall..........

Thanks again.... This really was not intended as a guitar show n tell....
