Selling my VEC III. Also included is the jumper harness. With the jumper harness you don't have to cut up the factory harness. The VEC sells new at ROE for $1227.67. The jumper harness sells for $154 and is new. The program cards sell at Roe for $20 each. You can change programs in seconds by sliding the card in and waiting for the light to indicate its programmed.
$600 plus shipping
You will need an install kit. Sean at www.roeracing.com sells them for $35. You could order this at the same time you ordered your tuning cards.

The VEC III works good, I know a lot of guys that have them and they do the JOB.

Dom has on on his truck and makes big power with it.....:rock::rock:

Didn't know he come out with a jumper harness:dontknow: That's why I sold mine I didn't like having to cut the factory harness:( If only I known this a month ago.

GL with your sale.

Roe doesn't make the jumper harness. I bought it elsewhere. I didn't like the idea of chopping up the wiring. It also makes it easy to remove and return to stock and then transfered to another 10 with ease.

wish i could afford to do this right now. cause i know i want a vec III eventually..

i am figuring to get tuner but that just works with the trucks pc to retune it the vec3 works as a side by side system. at least from what i understand :)

New or used?

The SCT actually alters the program of the PCM...the VEC changes the output from the PCM......both work great....With the VEC you can have an indefinite # of programs (93 octane tune, 100 octane, gas mileage, etc) and change them while driving down the road (if the box is mounted in the cab)....you can also get a disk from Roe and use a Laptop to do your own tuning cards.....the VEC can also control meth injection and other mods..

The SCT hold 3 tunes at a time though you can store more on your computer to transfer to the SCT as needed. The truck has to be stopped with the motor off to change tunes.....You can do your own tuning but the equipment to do this is very expensive....the SCT will not operate mods such as meth injection....and I do not advise anyone to do there own tunes unless they know what they are doing..

The difference is the VEC 3 gives you the ability to tune by cylinder if necessary and the SCT lets you tune as a whole and change a lot of the OBDII parameters. I will be using both.

Thanks for the info. Couldn't have said it better. I edited my listing. I wanted to mention that I don't have the install kit. Sean at www.roeracing.com has them for $35. You could order at the same time you ordered your tuning cards.

Had big plans Turbo, Meth ect...With the economy in the shiter I'm going to scale back.

I love my VEC...not only do I have the ability to change tunes on the run...takes about three seconds, I also have a valet card (limits engine to 2000 rpm) and a no start card. If I slip the no start card into the reader, even with the key the truck cannot be started.

I've had it installed for nearly four years...and zero problems. Vec Rocks!
