Today I read a story about how the Iraq War casualties have matched and/or surpassed the deaths of all those in the WTC....I had tears in my eyes. Not because I am offended by the Military or War (those of you who know me, know how attached I am to the military) but because my fellow Brothers and Sisters in Arms died with HONOR, COURAGE and COMMITMENT...Ideals that I pray my Son will uphold as he grows up. I am soo very PROUD of our Military, not because of what I do...but because I know who makes our Military!

I am writing this because I feel it is my Duty to remember my fellow Soldiers, Airmen, Marines and ofcourse Sailors who have fallen as we all watch the Ball drop on New Years Eve.

Don't cry for them...For they are Heroes and they would be embarrased. Instead.... Praise the work that they do and are still doing whether you agree with the Politicians or not. Because I guarantee you...Our Service Men and Women don't care what the politicians say or don't say....they just do what they do because it is what it is.....GOD BLESS THEM....

Very well put Kris!!

And again... Thanks to you and to all that serve!!!

And I heard the good news tonight that Saddam will meet his end very soon!!! Justice will be served!!

Their people are practically fighting over who gets to pull the handle!
They would not have that to fight over if it weren't for our military!!!

God Bless all our service Men and Women who protect and provide the very Freedom we enjoy everyday...

Thank You Kris :star:

Well said. My uniform still hangs in my closet after retiring in 95. Better fought over there then here and too their deaths shall climb.

Thanx Y'all....just felt that I had to get it off my chest. Another thing I had read today was a story about John McCains son just graduating Marine Boot Camp a day after Sr. had said publicly that we needed more Boots on the ground....I know he said that with a heavy heart....

Well said I lost many good friends whenI was over there and remember them not with tears but with honor. And even thoughmy time is over and i have moved on I still hold true the values that I learned and will continue to carry on with their memories always fresh in my mind so that I know that freedom carries a huge price. I salute those still serving and who have served past and present and commend those preparing to go in.
