The trees, the boats, the water, the submerged vehicle... You sure that isn't a Houston subdivision after a light shower? I've witnessed scenes like that on the I-10 freeway near he 610 east loop. The beltway underpass feeder at I-45 by Greenspoint suffers similar situations. But still, somebody get that fool a clue.
This truck decided after a while to go for it, then got stuck.
(opposite direction) This doesn't look deep, until you have to be pushed out of it.
This was taken just after that black Ford truck got stuck and was pushed out.
This is a little further down toawards the freeway frontage road.
Because of this I was late to the Astros game some of the members were trying to get to that afternoon.

The ramp areas are pretty shallow. It does drop off rapidly after you get away from the ramp sites.
From what I have heard, until recently Austin has been behind on rain and the lakes were low. I was out at Lake Whitney over the 4th and it was in pretty good shape.
