I went to Home Depot today and picked up about 675 lbs. of building material for my fence. The stance #1900 had while holding that stuff in the bed was awesome. That, and seeing OSO's truck today, got me to thinking.

Currently, I have the X-Met 1"/2" drop and at times (in certain positions) I hear a slight rubbing of tires against the wheel well if they are turned to extreme right or left.. If you got more of a drop done (say the 4"-6" drop) did you have to do some altering prep work to your wheel wells? Anyone?

For me ,more than 2 1/2" drop in the rear will bottom out ...........hard !

You also lose traction from the lack of suspension travel. The springs from Stinker are stiffer and should stop the rubbing.Mine are 20% stiffer and the current production are 10% stiffer than stock.

Going lower than 2 1/2" should involve a c-notch to be safe.Stinker can get 'em for ya.

Of course,every truck is just a little different,but speaking from experience,going lower than the 1"-2" or 1 1/2"- 2 1/2" ,requires modifications.

My blocks are 3-1/4'' long and I have the smallest leaf spring out. So it's probaly about a 4'' drop in the rear;) I took the bump stops completly out and it will only bottom out in big bumps or dips;)It looks awesome though!!

There is definatly a point where you end up with an SRT/10 skateboard suspension! Not good!

The lower than normal drop does look great but I gotta be comfortable when driving the beast myself.

pinion/driveline angles change if more than 1/2 drop also.
don't hurt to check them with any drop.

totally tubular chassis would be badass:rock:
