For those running water/methanol injection

So while at dyno day in Calgary and the last week there has been alot of talk about water/methanol injection. I was doing some research to see how well washer fluid works and came across this site I didn't know using pure water on a carb engine is better than a water/methanol mix.

It didn't say it was better as far as performance. Only that it would complicate the tuning (running rich) with too much methanol, so for those who can't tune the extra methanol, run little methanol or only water.

I thought so too, w/m can be just an intercooler or also used for lean conditions since I am running rich I will probably use windshield washer fluid.

Running windshield washer fluid is only going to make the rich condition worse, unless you tune for it.

Do you have any kind of tuning solution installed? I used Sean Roe @ Roe Racing, and he dialed in my meth tune with a nice flat AFR. I also have a non meth tune just to be safe if I ever run out of meth.

Cheapest mix I found was buying a 5 gallon of VP Race Methanol M-1 and water from my reverse osmosis filter system. Less than $5 a gallon and no added chemicals to clog up the nozzles.

We are same of doing research about the running water/methanol injection. But some of the pure water according to my research are more efficient than the things that are mixed. I think we should brainstorm about that topic. Thanks for starting it. :rock:
