I don't believe in using supplements or roids.

100 % natural is the only way to go...

I'm with the Wise One on this.

I stick with FOOD - Plain and Simple.

Nobody can tell me how these 'supplements' will affect me long term. Don't want 'em. Don't need 'em.

Hell, not that I drink much soda at all anymore, but I won't touch the diet stuff simply because of the ingredients that I can't pronounce!

Eat the right food and you'll be good. Maybe not the size of Arnold, but he took roids.

Thank God Light Beer is still all natural!!

Just wondering what your work out schedule is and if taking suplements?

Thanks to NOWHAT Im back hitting the weights again and want to try something different. Im pretty serious about it and im having a little trouble getting back into it. A year ago i was 198 lbs and pressing 395 for 3 reps at the bench. Now:D in 250 lbs and pressing only 295 for 6 reps. This is just an idea of where im at.

As far as supplements go, Im now on NO-Xplode, Jet Fuel (thermogenic), and Novadex-XT for later:D . (No, I don't use illegal supplements:nurse: )

I'll post a Now pic and in a month i'll post another and so on. Planning to get down to 215-220 within a few months.

Thank God.....:D .....for me...I actually enjoy the weight lifting part of the workout...but I hate....HATE....cardio....that is where a Hobby makes it possible to stick to it.....try a boxing gym....60 mins will kick your ass, the time flies by and you learn a skill while burning the Calories....

Take Shawn with you....

Try just shadow boxing for 3 minutes, a full 3 minutes of punching. If you haven't done it before, it will give you a good burn in your arms and you will be tired.

last august I was powerlifting (NASA) in a natural league, 6'1" 218 pounds: 455 Bench with belt a wrist wraps only. My squat & DL were over 400 but not a focus, I squatted 225 for 26 ass to the floor. Ate 6000 calories a day, used whey, NO xplode, speed stack, muscle milk and stuck to a strick high protein diet. I stopped over the winter for a few months cut down to 190 pounds at about 10% Body fat, and now use no supplements. I can say for a fact that outside of NO xlpolde to wake me up a 5 am supplements really don't do much for me. I can do 32 full range of motion dips and about 20 full range pull ups. My wife told me if I got down to a six-pack stomach I would get 4 BJ's a week...so thats all it took for her to say to help me cut the weight:D

You have a very inspiring wife.

Steve

Nice thread Iz:rock: I am just about to start hitting the gym again myself. I quit abot 6 months ago ready to get back at it before I get too fat:D I am 6'1 about 225 right now. When I was working out I was about 215 taking no suppliments of anykind just alot of protein. I could still manage to press 315 which I thought was good:dontknow: I am trying to decide what I want to do this time.

I went a slightly different way...I decided to re-gain my strength and muscle first. It is easier to do when not dieting. So with that said, Im still 250 lbs, got my strenght back (bench 315X8), and gained most of my muscle back. I will start dieting Jan 4th and planning to get down to 210-220 by April.

It just so happens that my job is promoting better health and doing a "Biggest Looser" contest (first wheigh in Jan 4th):D . Its a $10 entry fee and employer is matching up to $1000. So that is a pretty good motivator for me.:D

This should not be to hard.

thats cool iz. keep up the good work.

Good luck to ya, IZ.........

It isn't the method or the machine that get's you into shape.

It's the dedication to submit yourself to the pain and the strain....

Everyone claims (that) they can give you "this Bowflex body" or that the "Chuck Norris Total Gym works"...... But it has nothing to do with the equipment... It's all about continuing to workout...... it's all about desire.

I wish you dedication and commitment...... God knows I don't have it anymore....

Dude,

START EATING NOW!!!! Like a Pig!!!:D :D

Diet is everything....not going on a diet but eating right...

6 meals a day, will increase your metabilism and feed your muscles more efficiently. Lean proteins, complex carbs and plenty of veggies.....

Make sure you add some cardio but do it on your off days or after lifting.

I am not training now but used to train and play Rugby for the Army. 265 with 9% body fat....Took years, being young helps :D Learned alot about training and being in shape.

Nowadays I stay in my pants with diet (eat 7 times a day) with little exercise.... ;)
